We strongly suggest using GroLux Wide Spectrum for blooming and GroLux Standard for seed starting and growing. There are several important points to remember when choosing a fluorescent tube for your fixtures. First of all, the quality of light can be equally as important as the quantity of light. The color spectrum provided by lamps can be quite different. The blue spectrum promotes foliage growth and the red and far red spectrum promotes flowering. Cool white lamps are generally a poor choice because the quality of light is low for either growing or blooming. Both of these GroLux lamps alter the appearance somewhat of the plants and flowers under the lamps giving them a “warmer” and more violet hue. If you want a lamp that shows most accurate true color, as under natural daylight, choose the Powertwist lamp. Minimum purchase of 4 bulbs. |
