| Use our high quality Halide replacement bulbs for your grow light systems. The best overall light source for plant growth is a Metal Halide (MH) bulb. The AgroSun bulbs are specifically designed for plant growth. The majority of metal halide bulbs have a Kelvin temperature (color specification) of 4,000. The Metal Halide 5K (day) bulbs have a Kelvin of 5,200 and the Agrosun bulb have a kelvin of 3,300. High Pressure Sodium (HPS) bulbs are the most efficient light source, with the highest amount of lumens per watt. They can be burned in both the horizontal and vertical position. Many gardeners find that the color spectrum offered by the High Pressure Sodium bulb promotes more flower production. High Pressure Sodium Conversion bulbs convert your halide system to sodium. We prefer the Metal Halide Conversion bulbs which convert a Sodium system to Halide. This allows the use of regular HPS bulbs during flowering and fruiting. Regular HPS bulbs are brighter than HPS Conversion bulbs. We recommend relamping all High Pressure Sodium bulbs at least once a year. Even though all lamps are warranted for one year, you will benefit from relamping your Metal Halide bulb more frequently. We recommend you replace your Metal Halide bulbs every 8 months for maximum results. Using a light meter to track the light output of your bulb will let you know how much light intensity you have lost over time. Be sure to take the readings at the same distance and angle from the bulb. All our High Pressure Sodium bulbs have a Kelvin temperature between 2,000 and 2,200. |
